"The Twins"
Gone before we knew it (11 October 2007) at Wishaw General Hospital
I was 2 months 3 weeks and 5 days pregnant, and had a missed miscarriage. We were told this
heartbreaking news then about 2 hours later we were eventually told I was carring twins, the nurse
actually said that they were unsure as to whether to tell us. The Twins were due to be born 26
April 2008. My first angel grew wings very early on in the pregnancy and my second angel grew wings
around eight weeks although I was almost 12 weeks pregnant. I opted to go home and let nature take
it's course. I had to go back to the hospital on Thursday 25th October 2007 for a scan and was
advised that the babies were still in my tummy. I did not wish the Twins to be classed as medical
waste so I opted for the medical assist and was given a pill and advised to return to the hospital
in two days time. I returned to the Hospital on 27th October 2007 and had pessaries inserted
throughout the day and night. Early next morning the midwife carried out another scan and still the
Twins had not left me. I was then strongly advised by the nurses that I should have a D & C, it was
at this point that I agreed to the clinical assist and at Noon 28th October 2007 I had a D&C. I
have never cried so much at the thought of my babies being classed as clinical waste and also the
thought that although I couldn't keep them safe they still didn't want to leave me.
The midwife advised us that the twins would have been non-identical. From the first day that it was
confirmed I was pregnant I said I would be having twins it was just a feeling that I had and I
always felt that they would have been a boy and a girl, although, obviously this was never
confirmed.
No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were both gone before we new it
And only God will ever know why

Puppy Sam (although he is not a puppy he is 7, he just think's that he's a puppy) would have loved
you both. When you were in mummy's tummy puppy Sam would snuggle up and give my tummy big kisses
every day and then he would fall asleep with his head on mummy's tummy. He would have been the
best big brother.
Daddy and Puppy Sam shower mummy with kisses everyday, but I would give anything to have a kiss from
both of you. I love you both so very very much. xxxxx

We stood by your bed last night.
We came to have a peep.
We could see that you were crying and you found it hard to sleep.
We spoke to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
“It's us, we haven't left you, we're well, we're fine, we're here”.
We were close to you at breakfast
as we watched you pour the tea.
You were thinking of the many times your hands reached out to us.
We were with you at the shops today; your arms were getting sore.
We longed to take your parcels, oh we wish we could do more.
We were with you at our grave today; you tend it with such care.
We want to re-assure you Mum that we're not lying there.
We flew with you towards the house as you fumbled for your key.
We gently landed on you; we smiled and said, “it's us”.
You looked so very tired as you sank into a chair.
We tried so hard to let you know, that we were really there.
It's possible for us to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty “We never went away”.
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
in the stillness of that evening, we were very close to you.
The day is over... we smile and watch you yawning and say “goodnight, God bless, I'll see you in the morning”.
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
We'll fly across to greet you and we'll once more stand side by side.
We have so many things to show you,
there is so much for you to see.

Hello sweetpeas, just wanted to say got the car today with mixed emotions. I was so excited but also sad, as you know we got the big car for you 2 arriving so I couldnt keep it any longer as everytime I looked in the rear view mirror you 2 werent there and I couldnt cope any longer, but please dont think that I was trying to get rid of you 2, I wish you 2 were here with me to enjoy the new car. Daddy also bought me new perfume and new make-up, one of the perfumes was in a gift box that has a little bag and the perfume smells of roses, it is beautiful.
I keep finding the feathers that you's have been leaving for me, this makes me so happy although I wish you were handing me them in person.
